Battle of the Centaurs, 2024

This is an homage to Michelangelo’s 1492 seminal work, an attempt to breathe life into the eternal struggle marbled by the Master. The intention with depicting this undulating mass of flesh, merging and distorting bodies, emerging and disappearing, was to emphasize the vague, blurred lines between man and centaur, civilization and barbarism—one may easily become the other.
